Let fog play be fog play - hide all forting activity:
So, if it's fog, why can I see how many troops have been forted?
e.g. 2022-01-28 23:13:03 - queen victorious reinforced ? with 53 troops from ?
This is a fog game. How can I peer through the fog and see how many troops are moving around at turn end? Hide that. In a fog game, you should just see:
2022-01-28 23:13:03 - queen victorious reinforced ? with ? troops from ?
Too much info is given to see how many troops are left after an attack (especially an attack that kills a player so the opponent has no idea how many are left in a slow game), how many are moving, how many troop 'stacks' have been moved in unlimited, etc.
Let fog be fog.

Hell, I'd take it on further and show nothing in the game log. Why should you get any information? Foooooooooog
Re: Make fog a bit foggier [hide forting #s]
Maybe we just need to have two versions of fog... light, classic fog and then a new heavy fog where the game log is blank. you wouldn't see bonuses when cards are cashed and wouldn't see anything that your opponent has doneKotaro wrote:Hell, I'd take it on further and show nothing in the game log. Agreed. On many maps on th site, the fog log still let you know where opponents are at and what they got. Pure fog, no info. Now that would change things up

NO.
Reading the log and trying to gather as much intel as possible from it is part of the game. Don't change the game.

I think having two separate types would be necessary, however... I think there are already issues with having too many settings and not enough playerschuck D wrote:Maybe we just need to have two versions of fog... light, classic fog and then a new heavy fog where the game log is blank. you wouldn't see bonuses when cards are cashed and wouldn't see anything that your opponent has doneKotaro wrote:Hell, I'd take it on further and show nothing in the game log. You'd have many specialists and clan players leave over a fog change to literally not show information.

I don't think you need to worry about it.Maxleod wrote:NO.
