2022 Clan League Hall of Fame Voting - Complete
Players on the above list with official MVPs to their name:
Donche65 - CL7
samdemars - CL7
Doc_Brown - CL13
Players on the above list with Nut Shot Scott MVPs:
Fairman - CL 7
Doc_Brown - CL13
I've adjusted this slightly from year one.
We'll have 20 players that were chosen based on their accomplishments over the years in Clan League, Premier Division. There is no guarantee that any player gets in and there is no cap on players, technically.
There is a threshold to hit in terms of voting % that will get a player in. Given the public nature of the voting, I think I'll share that % with a select few so as to maintain some level of transparency and leave it as a mystery for now.
You'll see a mini resume above for each player within the poll. It just gives some overall rankings in some key categories. You can also go into my Clan League Stats file here for a year by year look at player performance, Top 10s and a few other things:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =754360891
This thread welcomes discussion, debate and good old trash talk.

Much as it pained me I voted for someone in Fallen. I try (and usually fail) to be objective.
Re: 2022 Clan League Hall of Fame Voting - Vote Now!
Each of the MVP's should get through.
People really overlooking fairman's record IMO. #7 avg with a title and MVP. Should def be in.

Good point. I should have included MVPs in the resumes. I'll amend this later today.

It hasn't been formally announced, but Doc_Brown will be the CL13 MVPNut Shot Scott wrote:Lindax wrote:MVP could be counted as Title-Ind.JPlo64 wrote:Each of the MVP's should get through.

I'm real surprised so far. There are two players on this list who imo are absolute no brainers and neither one is tracking to hit the min %.

MVPs added to original post. Couldn't add them to the poll itself.

Voting extended one week to July 1 because I'm too busy to finalize it right now. I cannot believe one of these players is not currently getting in.

Few days left! Couple of you need a little push to get in. One of you isn't going to make it and I am in shock.

Public apology to rcfritz. The guy is 4th all time in scoring, has the 10th best all time season average, has played 9 season, won a title, won an individual title and somehow managed to get stiffed with only the 5th most votes.
I am incredibly disappointed in the voting public here.

Re: 2022 Clan League Hall of Fame Voting - Vote Now!
This is the nature of public polls. When looking at the 4 people ahead of him, only Doc appears to have less of a resume. But, he just had a fantastic CL13 winning MVP and that is likely fresh in peoples minds. Further, all time scoring is more attributable to longevity and less to skill. That is not disrespect for rcfritz. Note: I voted for him.Nut Shot Scott wrote:Public apology to rcfritz. None of that is to take away from the lone entrant this year, loutil. More than deserved.
More on that to come, I'm away at a cabin until Monday and won't have time to officially post anything. But he was the only player to pull 10% or more of the vote.
Great work.

Too many players that diluted the % here
Again fritzy Dave ball astoriana should be in.
Stats are great but eyeball test and discernment here…
Who leads games? Who wins pivotal games?
Love what we are doing here but I think a panel of voters that are unbiased is what this needs

Re: 2022 Clan League Hall of Fame Voting - Vote Now!
and by extension...I should not? What exactly is the eyeball test? How do you know how many games a particular player leads if you are not in their clan? You and I have never teamed and have only played against each other 7 times. How could you possibly know what games I lead or what pivotal games I win?MTIceman41 wrote:Too many players that diluted the % here

Who are these unbiased voters? You?
You have your opinions, just like the rest of us. We are ALL biased by our experiences and associations. Nobody is immune to that.....

You are already in so why include you? Glad I still reside in your head.
Just a voice of reason to players like fritz and others that should be in.
Funny guy Lou
Would you not have fritz in? Or Dave of the others? Why are you being so combative?

Re: 2022 Clan League Hall of Fame Voting - Vote Now!
I agree, a smaller panel would be ideal. I actually asked about that in the forum and got one person who PMd me. So I scratched that idea for now. One thought would be taking a representative from each clan and hashing it out. But being that I was removed from being a Clan Director because someone is a whiny bitch, I'm not motivated to coordinate that anymore.
As for the leading/not leading. This is something I wish I could track and score.

Sorry, that was a little rough. Actually recovering from COVID and been stuck at home for what seems forever....MTIceman41 wrote:Little rough here? I voted for Fritz, so yes. But, everyone cannot get in. Plus, as I stated, there is always some level of bias when dealing with this stuff. It is always hard to judge a players skill when playing against them in team games as we do not know who is leading/making decisions. Some of the choices, last year, seemed more obvious to me as I had played most of them 1 v 1 and could speak well to their skill levels. Harder for me this year, to vote, as I had significantly less 1 v 1 with the current group. For that reason, I leaned more on the general stats as they seem a good indicator and correlated to my own observations.
