Why your username?
mine is my last name, since williams and williams1-williams5231 was already taken, i went with 5232. i didn't check all the numbers tho. it's all caps because i was just entering into the internet age at that time and didn't know all caps meant i was yelling. if i could take back the all caps now, i would.

TeeGee- It's actually my wife's and my 1st initials.. TeeGee was also the name of my business at the time of joining (nothing like some free advertising) but these days TG just sticks (and sometimes stinks)

catstevens: you are now an honorary American TG...Congrats
Re: Why your username?
I used to be a chef and was a big fan of the Seattle Supersonics when they used to exist. One of their better players was a guy named Detlef Schrempf. One of my friends started calling me Detlef Chef. It stuck and then they just started calling me Detlef.

To be fair, all the cool names I tried at the time were taken. Exasperated I thought maybe it was broken after like the 10th name and so I typed in the object closest to me (that I used for a headache I had) and viola, it went through and was not changeable. I’ve used it ever since

I chose this username because I had just played through .hack//G.U. series, and I wanted to be a virtual MMO PvP serial killer with a questionable backstory.

to be fair, you have to consider random_player and Random_User and user_random, for the most random names... Just sayin'... The black jesus has spoken...-Jesus noirWILLIAMS5232 wrote:probably the most random name so farIcePack wrote:blah, blah, blah... I’ve used it ever since

our fav High School teacher would let us call him Murph. He was a character. for many years back then, I was into Arthurian Legend, so i thought: Camelot - Murph .... alright Murphalot sounds decent. Was a late night after work and close to Christmas, i wasn't feeling too creative. Sadly though, "I hate Retarded F*gg*ts" didn't have as nice a ring to it, so i settled for this.
(...Yes i have sardonic humour, so for the wincing pearl-clutchers out there, i'm obviously joking loooooool
)
i'm fine with the name; i've never found myself ruminating on a change, so it works. seems to suit the icon of my current rank as well, which is neat.

My name comes from some video game I was playing when I was about 12 (not Star Wars) and I just kept it for a lot of online games back in the day. Now I'm 38 and I'm still stuck with it, on this site at least.

Re: Why your username?
for some reason, this game popped in my head. i know it's not the one you're talking about. when i was a kid, my parents worked at an arcade and this game was in there. i've never seen it again, but i used to look under the coke machine and all the other nooks and crannies a quarter may fall. so i could play it. probably 1990 or so.prismsaber wrote:I suspected your name might be from Elric and was going to ask you about this during our tourney match but just didn't get around to it...I love the Elric books.Lord Arioch wrote:Sometimes Arioch, sometimes Lord Arioch but Always Arioch.
