Why not post this here?
Eben Alexander, MD, a neurosurgeon who experienced a profound near-death experience (NDE) during a coma caused by a severe brain infection, shared insights from his transformative journey. Reflecting on the last 16 years since his recovery, he expressed, "Every breath has been just one of gratitude." He described his NDE as an awakening to a "far grander universe" beyond the materialistic views he once held. He recounted the moment he entered a spiritual realm, which was characterized by vivid imagery of a "gateway valley" filled with joy and love. "What I saw was we were above this meadow, and there were...thousands of beings dancing, lots of joy and festivities," and it was all being fueled by these "swooping orbs of pure spiritual beings, orbs of angelic choirs." It was kind of like "Plato's world of ideals, but for the individual soul," he added.

"Near-death experiences are always tailored for the individual soul who has them," he pointed out. Challenging conventional views of heaven and hell, he asserted, "I do not believe that there is an eternal hell; that just makes absolutely no sense." Instead, he explained that life reviews after death reveal the impact of our actions on others, reinforcing the importance of kindness and compassion: "Treat others as you would like to be treated." Dr. Alexander also touched on the implications of quantum physics, suggesting that consciousness is not merely a product of the brain but rather a connection to a larger universal mind.
These are two issues (in large font, above) that are important to me. It was an interesting show to hear.

I will not post here the link to his book.

Ha, you should hangout up north. The difference between winter days and summer days is way more noticeable. Or south. But that’s a whole different hemisphere.

I think the joke was that June 20th was the longest day of the year. June 21st, when he posted, was already a minute shorter.

My great regret about this solstice was that no coven kidnapped me for fertility rites.

Yeah, I got the joke. I wrote, “Ha”

I just decided to beak about the difference in length of days between Nawlins and say Torana. Though since Williams has been to Tuk, he’s no doubt aware.

Maybe I was posting for the benefit of others. Way more likely, I was just flapping off. Not to be confused with fapping.

The sky is excellent tonight out this way. “Severe clear.” as pilots are sometimes known to say.

Yeah, we have clear skies here. A 33-degree heat wave (40 with the Humidex).

I was out doing bridge inspections today, and I actually got a borderline sunburn on my neck.

It was a joke, =D>

First time I went to Alaska was 2009, I flew and met my parents up there. I stayed a week, but that's not enough.

We drove a loop from anchorage, north to the denali hwy, then east to Paxson (I think) and then south, and west back to anchorage. We basically drove every day, since I only had a week, we didn't do much other than that. I'm rambling......

We did stop in Petersville to do a little gold panning, and my dad told me at some point, "we better start heading back to the camper" and I told him let's just stay another hour, he showed me the time and it was midnight.

I would have guessed no later than 8. But yeah, big difference up north in the daylight hours

The opposite happens to me in Hawaii in February. It's warm out and the sun is setting, so it seems like 10:30 pm at 6.

Be careful, Duk. That is how you become a True “Redneck.” :D

I am currently on vacation (or holiday) and am in Scotland where we have some 18 hours of daylight. Nice now; I do. It think I will visit this far North in the winter, except to see the Northern Lights.
