I dunno why we would have a list, but I guess this is where you would deal with tournament deadbeats.

I'll start off: What kind of deadbeats are we talking? Deadbeats in games or deadbeats in the tournament itself?

In games, I honestly don't care as long as we have a place for everyone. No matter if it's a deadbeat or not, I count it as what place they come in.

Deadbeating out of tournaments is such a pain in the ass. I usually just get a reserve, it works, but it kind of rigs the tournament if you know what I mean. If I make them start over, they have a huge disadvantage. If I carry the score, they could have a huge advantage. It's difficult deciding what to do.

This is what I do in a tournament with Groups (i.e. Group A - D, and 5 players in 1 Group):

Disqualification:
- Disqualification is when a footballteam misses 3 turns on a road (deadbeats).
- Disqualification is when there are footballteams with secret alliances or announced alliances.
- Disqualification is when a footballteam don't answer (reply) to join a new game.
- The disqualified footballteam will lose all the points.
- The points the disqualified footballteam earned in a game will not go to the runnerup in that game.
- The group were the disqualified footballteam was playing in, will going on without him.
- The pointsystem and format will be the same as before.
- The member behind the disqualified footballteam will be excluded for further participation.
- The name of the disqualified footballteam will be open for other members in future tournaments of UECCF Cup and CCECL.

And it works for everybody. I didn't have any complain.

Not exactly to subject but close enough so... how the hell do you get reserves? I have no problem getting tournament full (mainly because they are pretty small - 16 people) but the moment it's full, I have to wait forever to get reserves.

I have never once had a problem with dyingfetus in any of my tournaments.

On a more general note, having a blacklist of players is something that I don't think would be a good idea. It would do nothing but generate bad blood if it were ever to leak out into the general public. I think most of you will find that if a player deadbeats out of one tournament, yes he might do it again, but after a little while they just stop coming back.

If there is any GROSS abuse of that, then someone needs to let either me or Steelhorse know so we can look into it and deal with it in the appropriate manner.

As for using reserves to fill tournament slots left open by deadbeats, each organizer has to determine ahead of time at what point during the tournament can a reserve still be used. At some point it just isn't fair to the rest of the players who have worked hard and spent their time advancing so you may just have to tweak certain divisions or groups to include one less member. I've had to do this a handful of times and for the most part it was met with no complaints.

In regards to deadbeat tournament organizers, there will be policies coming soon that will be a deterrent to this happening. I will not go into the details at the moment because I don't have all of them, but in the future be prepared to face consequences for abandoning tournaments without good reason.
