Can we stop requesting new maps?

Post by Pedronicus »

Where is it all going to end?
A map of the London underground?
A map of the great barrier reef?
A map of a womans genatalia? (Hey - thats a good idea - I could discover where a clitoris is)

NO

Risk is a map of the world. End of story. Period. (Are we back on map idea 3?)

What do you think?

So, Pedro, do you eat something different every night for dinner, or is it always fish'n'chips?

What's wrong with a little variety?

Why have 18 people read this - yet only 6 people voted?

a clitoris is the little bump that becomes erect when the woman feels stimulated, it is located just above the entry into the vagina, problem solved pedronicus! and if ur looking for the g spot it is in the anterior portion of the vagina, about a finger length inside

anatomy teaches u a lot of things, consider applying

I suppose you're referring to the "Views" part? That doesn't necessarily mean that there's been 18 people, you know...it just means that the page has been accessed 18 times. So if I, say, refreshed this page a billion time, then it would say 1 billion views + the current amount that is here right now...

Oh, and I really don't see what could go wrong with a little bit of variety, either. Australian map, anyone? 8)

STEP ONE: Find Map of Texas area.

STEP TWO: Get Photoshop.

STEP THREE: Edit Map of Texas in Photoshop.

STEP FOUR: Read lack's Sticky in the Map Foundry forum.

STEP FIVE: Do what he says.

STEP SIX: Have yourself a nice drink while you wait for lack to approve your map and put it up for public play.

STEP SEVEN: Bask in the glory of cartography.

So try to take it easy on them, PedroSaurus.

And a Note: I think the opportunity Lack has given for members to submit maps and attempt to configure a decent game board is GREAT!

Gives some of the talented people a chance to maybe showcase their skills, and gives others a shot at attempting to learn some programming skills.

That said: I prefer the Classic Configeration of RISK and any board that can replicate that as closely as possible is the one I would like to play on.

Call me an old fashioned, or call me old fashioned.....ooops. stutter, swallow........ Is there a cheap bar around here where a guy can get a beer?

... Not to be a negative realist or anything, but ... Since this site has begun to offer Premium Membership (and made my life more interesting > Thank You Lack!)... it has become a business, no?

... Should maps submitted by creative members be used and accessed for money, what legal right does the map creator retain? Any? If there is no contract drawn up, a lack of legal preparation by Lack could be dangerous, as we all know CC is going to make a millionairre of him!

... Handshakes, "well done!"'s and "attaboy"s are great, but sadly, the world doesn't seem to work that way any more.

Yeah, I agree with medwards. Just because people make maps doesn't mean you have to play them, besides 13 may want the mapmaking to stop but 52 people want more....

Great Barrier Reef? Now that's just dumb. Not like that Antarctica idea - that's genius.

Hey, wait a minute, maybe I'm serious here. You see, that whole March of the Penguins thing winning the Oscars, there's some interest there. I mean, how can there be penguins marching around Antarctica if they're not in an army? Who else marches, am I right? Huh? They got the uniforms and everything, see. And there's all kinds of crags and inlets and natural boundaries on Antarctica, and there could be a big impassable mountain range at the centre where it's just too cold, and there could be that temple from Alien vs. Predator in there somewhere, and in every corner of the map, there could be graphics of those penguins with the missiles strapped to their backs from Batman Returns (http://www.propstore.com/images/product ... in1sml.jpg), all ready to kick serious tail feather.

Man, if I didn't waste all my time with actual work and smelling teenage girls' shoes, I'd do it myself. Unfortunately, duty calls: sniffffff....
