Clan Challenges Results [Discussion]

Post by hwhrhett »

so the rule here is that in order for it to count an independent thread needs to be made for each challenge correct?

First of all there are no rules, hwhrhett :)

Secondly this sub-forum is the forum for Clan Challenges, so basically I will use the information on those Clan Challenge threads in here. If someone have made a thread for a challenge in another (sub-) forum and posted there all the info, then they will be on the Result list too. And I shall move that thread into the sub-forum Clan Challenges as well. All they have to do is PM me or post it in here.

And last but not least, if a Clan Challenge was held without a Clan Challenge thread, they can also be on the list. Only thing is that the Clan Leader of one of the clans post it in here (or make a new thread) and put in the post or thread the names of the 2 clans, the amount of games, game types and all the gamenumbers and who won or lost. Further the other Clan Leader must also confirm that they played all the games for a Clan Challenge.

The list is to have an overview of all the Clan Challenges of CC.
Its not my intention to see or let you all know who's the best.....
Therefor CC hopefully will have the ladder system in the near future.

Oh, one idea. Is it possible to throw in a link to the clan page by clicking on their name?

ie, G1 to here: memberlist.php?mode=group&g=150122

Cant see any complaining myself!! Its not a crime to ask a question, is it?

I really don't think tournaments with other clans involved will count. Or, at least, no one outside our group would want them to count (because we win... all of them).

That's going back to early 2008 and it was a league I tried to rescue (from Yorkiepeter of the Untouchables), however only LOD, THOTA and ID seemed to be taking this seriously at the time and joining the games in a reasonable amount of time. I had to abandon it.

The updated standings were on page 26 (picture file was deleted from my personal page so link is missing)

I found my file, here were the results of the completed 16 game sets based on a schedule that wasn't quite lined up:

Home Away
The Untouchables The Bounty Hunters 11 5
Legends of War The Untouchables 8 8
Legends of War The Bushwhackers 7 9
Legion of the Damned Imperial Dragoons 7 9
The Bushwhackers THOTA 5 11
THOTA Legion of the Damned 8 8
THOTA Murder Inc. 14 2
THOTA EWL 14 2
The Bounty Hunters Legion of the Damned 8 8
The Bounty Hunters Double Dragoons 4 12
Double Dragoons Legends of War 4 12
Imperial Dragoons The Untouchables 10 6
Imperial Dragoons The Bushwhackers 8 8

There was one in progress at the time of abandonment

The UntouchablesTHOTA 3 8 (Untouchables failed to enter 5 games and THOTA would have been given a default to make it 11-3 for THOTA)

I was asked to run something like this again after LODEDI tournament but not enough clans were serious about it. Good to see the site is moving systematically towards enabling these types of things.

I think you're right. My memory is not so great these days. I believe LOW were waiting on 2 clans to join their home games before LOW could even join, at the time of abandonment so they couldn't do anything. Sorry, I have a lot of respect for LOW and will actually be seeking your advice soon.

That tournament should not be counted in the statistics. It was not a head-to-head challenge like all the others, and if I remember correctly, it was just a solitary doubles team from each of those clans.

That being said, I definitely think the top 3 teams at the end of CC Olympics 2008 should be included since it's an officially sponsored clan tournament.

actually if i remember correctly, we all brought teams of 8 or 12 or something like that, we made 2 teams of dragoons and it was like 20 something people. and i understand it not counting. i think that if it had been finished it should have counted, as it was on a massive scale. but since it didnt finish, your probably right.

I think some teams had more players than others if i remember correctly! back in the day The Untouchables had just risen from ash's from the once proud and mighty KOE clan.

I think we should leave it as clan vs clan challenge. Its fine as it is. I really think marval has opened a can of worms here

I think they fell apart after the challenge at some point ... I have a thread in our off site forum that keeps track of all wins/loses ... dates of the challenges and so forth and so on .. here is part of that thread ...

THOTA vs KOE-----11/23/2007
40 Games total--------THOTA win 24 total-----------KOE win 16 total
20 Doubles-------------12 wins------------------------8 wins
20 Triples---------------12 wins------------------------8 wins

so yeah ... it has been almost a year lol ... wow time flies .....
it's the only one that isn't too well documented ... but you can clearly see in the thread were Rebelman confirms it !
