Connect 4 (New Organizer Page 13)

Welcome to the Connect 4 tournament.

This tournament will be played exclusively on the new Conquer 4 map.

The games will be 2 player - Sequential, No Spoils, Chained, Sunny.

The Tournament will have 32 players and progress will be made by beating your opponent in a game of Connect 4! (Here's the twist)

Players will take it in turns to choose a column within which to attempt to place a chip.
A game is then played - and the winner of the game - decides the colour of the chip.
First player to create a Connect 4 wins the round.
If no connect 4 is made and the board is filled up - then the round will be decided by total number of wins.

Initial starting brackets will be decided randomly. - No shows will be replaced by Reserves in the first round - and will cause bye's in later rounds.

Gilligan meant that according to Tournament Requirements you can't run tournaments that have less than 16 players because you won't get privileges.

Oh yeah - but there is also this caveat...

please contact a Tournament Director to discuss what options are available to you. Your tournament may possibly be approved if it is well prepared and features an acceptable format.

I believe the 16 player limit is to stop people having a one game tournament... this tourney will be fairly length so I would've thought be acceptable - but like I say - we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
