Every woman needs a pearl necklace, without a doubt. And I think any man will want his woman to have pearls once he understands them better...

Men just need a little help in the education department... their moms likely cherished any pearls that they had, but you can be sure that neither mom nor dad ever had a talk with junior about the significance of pearls....

I have always dreaded Christmas time when I have been in serious relationships. I don't get hints, most of the time I don't even know I am being hinted at. Just give me a list of 3 things that you want, and then let me pick. That way you end up with a pearl necklace, instead of shocks for your car, or a toaster, or some other gift that has a useful purpose.

When dealing with men, you have two choices (as I see it).

A) Tell him what you want. If that's too direct have several other people tell him what you want. Make it very explicit. Don't hint. I have experience with this, I'm a guy; I don't get them. Be up front about it. Walk by a jewelry store with him and make a fuss over the pearls, and leave it up to him what he gets. Don't make a fuss over (or even mention) anything else. Mention it more than once, but don't mention it more than three or four times.

B) Be happy with the toaster.

he did once give me a electric can opener, however it wasn't very sturdy, when I got it, I threw it against the wall and it broke into 20 pieces.

I had a few glasses of maccallan25 before (I didn't pay for it), and it was phenomenal! Although after the second glass, I felt like I had been gumming some blow.
