if you wanted to use a statistic that includes all opponents beaten, you might as well use the kill ratio that map rank offers.

Gentle friend, thank you so much for your above opinion. However, it was not my idea to start the ball rolling on Unique Opponents Defeated; that is the statistic given in the other thread. I merely made it more relevant by including the number of games finished for each applicant.
General Mojo wrote:Is this guy for real? Who cares how many "unique opponents" you beat per game if they are all new recruits? Yea, nice measure of your skill...
Just do us all a favor and put the calculator down...you are just embarassing yourself.

yet you were the one postulating that this statistic shows actual game skill...

Making lists in the forum that toot his own horn.
poo-maker wrote:That list is highly flawed. As i'm sure you know.
A couple of the more obvious flaws.
-If team A beat team B in a quads game, that would count as 4 unique defeats per win. I.e. in your list, someone who was a mediocre quads player, but only played quads would expect to have a 200% rating. Easily taking the top position while only winning an average amount of games.
-This list doesn't take into consideration the skill level of the opponents who these obviously leet players played to get such amazing percentages. I can see from your ratings KLOBBER, that you rate most if not of your opponents with 5's. You must be an exceptional player to win games as consistently as you do against such stiff competition.
Instead of "actual game skill statistic", i recommend that you just do this the JR way and rename this thread " KLOBBER'S TOP 10". If you need some guidance on how "TOP 10" threads work, just ask JR.
btw, out of curiousity, how many times per thread do you have to click "display post". I know for sure that you'll have to click it to read this one.
General Mojo wrote:How you can possibly use number of opponents beaten as a measure of skill level without taking into consideration the skill level of the opponents is beyond me.
By your logic the Harlem Globetrotters were more skilled than any of the Chicago Bulls teams in the 90s....
