There are currently 50 C&A reports in that forum. Of the 50 reports 13 have been sent to the "Closed" thread, 7 have been decided on or are marked pending and 1 was canceled by the OP. That leaves 29 that has not yet been "officially" looked at by the mods.

How is that out of control?

I remember when the C&A forum was pages and pages long and some reports got "lost" in the shuffle and were not closed/decided on unless the OP kept bumping the report to make sure it stayed on the first page. I think the mods are doing a great job and the C&A forum is much easier to keep up with now that the changes in there have been made.

there are vindictive reports after vindictive reports. bullshit spurious threads left and right. the thread with my name on it has been there for a week i believe, and i am within guidelines. it is a quick look, and close. tell the op to foe, and move along. i guess you cant tell policeboy to rate accordingly....lmfao!

it is a bad forum with a bunch of kids running around. tell me how i am wrong.

The ACTUAL spurious reports will be closed when they're looked at, and the originators will be dealt with (we know this happens). Those that aren't spurious either are or will be looked at. The C&A forum is in no way "out of control", and it's fairly ludicrious to suggest that it is.

no offence but ewww.
Just because every thread is not getting closed right away doesnt mean things arent being handled....We have a system as to who handles what and how things are handled.

The whole ratings thing going on..I honestly have no idea....

Completely agree, there have been a couple thousand reports of ratings abuse the past months it seems, all as soon as someone gets busted for it a shitload of reports come in for anyone who has ever given out a bad rating. Sometimes people deserve these ratings, actually quite a bit of the time they do, and if they dont get it they should contact the rater about it. To be honest, I could care less how low my gold star # next to my name is, which is why i have no clue why we ever left the feedback system for a system that was basically asking for abuse. A negative feedback can easily be seen and taken as truth or bullshit, and it doesnt show up as a rating of the player next to their name.

As I recently posted in a thread in there (about jpcloet abusing the system (another absolutely useless report...); it would almost be better to move the whole C & A to e-tickets or something of the like so not to soil someone's reputation over some rediculous accusations that are completely false...

Actually it tends to ruin the reputation of the accuser (since anyone who looks in it will see how ridiculous the claim is).

Oh wait... there's no reputation to ruin there.

Nevermind.

I've been accused of being somebody else. I know It's not true, but I can't guarantee the judges will get it right. Until I'm cleared there's no point in me starting another game or paying to stay a member in case I get booted off.

What is out of control are the number of abusers and cheaters on this site.

Seriously?
----------------------------------------------------
I get the complaint on all the threads popping up about frivolous crap in there but its everyone's right to make a report on someone or something if they think it was suspicious. The making of reports that have hidden agendas behind them are spurious and we have dealt with all that have come up that I can remember, so far we haven't had a repeat offender in that category. But as I have said in other posts if you have a problem with whats getting reported them take it up with the accuser, if a report is in there then we must give it the due diligence to investigate and rule on it based on the facts that we have in front of us.

As far as the timing of reports being looked at and ruled upon and closed I think it flows quite well in there. We have lives outside of this site, last week I wasn't able to help out much due to a bad internet connection in my hotel when I was on a business trip. Things come up, we adapt and come in here and offer up our time to try to help make this a better place for all. Would I like to see the C&A forum be used more for busting cheaters and blocking players playing unjustly? Yeah, but unfortunately everyone is on a ratings kick now, much like they were with submitting claims on mutis "just because" back when you know who started it...

It is a copycat world we live in, and if you really want that sort of behavior changed then start by asking the few in there that continue to beat up the forum to discontinue these acts that make it "out of control".

The problem with the C&A forum is that the C&A mods have had their hands tied by the general public. If they were to moderate that section the way I perceive they want to or hand out the verdicts that they should, the GD would be filled with nothing but threads like this viewtopic.php?f=6&t=107953

I wasn't really pointing out the amount of threads in C&A - just the fact that almost half of them at the time had already been dealt with or looked at by a mod. I think that for a weekend that the number of reports that had been dealt with/looked at was actually very good. Keep up the great work!
