My uncle (sadly, not me) met Torrie Wilson in Boise a couple times when he went up there to visit some friends.

One of my mom's ex-boyfriends (I was maybe 6-7 at the time) worked out at the same gym as Lex Luger.

I went to the same high school as Lisa Marie Presley, General H.H. Arnold in Wiesbaden Germany. (years later however) The Principal at the high school I graduated from was Mr. McDonald, the father of actor Chris McDonald.

I played hockey against Chris Pronger when I was younger. My teacher was Trevor Letowski's mother. I played golf with Taylor Pyatt. These are all hockey players that play(ed) in the NHL. One of my best friends growing up, his father played for the Flyers, Mike Busniuk.

I know (well, knew, I've not seen him for about 4 years) Shaun Williamson, who played Barry Evans on East Enders. He's currently touring with a stage version of Porridge, playing Fletch. Shaun and I (and Mrs Curl and Mrs Shaun) were all in the same drama group ages back.

I've been bought a pint by Humphrey Littleton, and chatted with Roy Harper, and Lol Coxhill.
Oh, and when I was in Mensa I met various luminaries like Magnus Pyke and Isaac Asimov, Edward de Bono, and (of all people) Jimmy Saville. No, he wasn't a member.
I used to know Vince Clarke and the guys from Depeche Mode, and Alison Moyet - they're from the same town I grew up in.

My brother was at school with Douglas Adams and Noel Edmonds.

Naturally many people won't know who some of these guys are, especially if you're not a Brit.

Just found out one of my high school friends won $200,000+ in a WPT poker tournament. Not incredibly famous but still pretty awesome!

I did go to school with a NCAA quarterback who is just shy of the all-time NCAA touchdown record (or even passed it, according to some sites). And I was in a jazz ensemble with a kid who was lead trumpet in the Grammy HS Jazz Ensemble last year. So yeah...
