The people he has surrounded himself with are intentionally attempting to bypass the laws of the US.
"Soon after Obama's election, staffers from the Human Rights Campaign presented the transition team with a list of 70 actions the president could take without congressional approval. "
He is intentionally seeking to bypass Congress and pass actions in an attempt to seize power and elevate his status of god. Given his delusions of grander, he probably believes he is acting rightfully and correctly.
The fall of this country has been going on for a long time with judges (part of the judicial branch) legislating from the bench and in essence passing laws. Now the Executive Branch is doing the same.
It is time each branch of the government kept to itself and performed it's own duties, not the duties of the other branches.
EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I think anybody should be allowed to have whoever they want visit them in the hospital. Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. It's just that I was the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH to do this as they are supposed to, not the Executive Branch.

I have to ask, why Corky in your avatar? The humor I get but since I have a brother who is intellectually challenged I find it in poor taste.

I disagree. I try to never attack people personally, only their ideas. I believe his ideas are very flawed, but I know nothing of him as a person to go around calling him names.

Interesting comment, considering a spokeswoman for the teaparty claimed, on Party Day, that the tea part is all Conservatives.

I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are.

As a non-US citizen but American resident and interested observer in American politics I felt compelled to note a point of clarification in the extremely condescending and lecture-style fashion that is my hallmark. There is no such thing as a "spokeswoman for the teaparty" [sic] or for the "tea part" [sic].
The "Tea Party" started with the Libertarian Party of Illinois in 2009 and was picked-up by Ron Paul supporters, parts of which were eventually co-opted by the Republican Party. As such it consists of a hydra of heads, most prominently:
1- Campaign for Liberty - the post-election anti-Fed/anti-fiat money/pro-3rd party group founded and controlled by Ron Paul and volunteers and supporters from his '08 presidential campaign /// ambivalent to 4, likes 3, dislikes 2 and 5
2- Tea Party Express - a Republican Party traveling tour/marketing campaign founded and controlled by the Republican National Committee /// likes 3 and 4 and 5, dislikes 1
3 - Tea Party Patriots - a grassroots umbrella of local groups at varying levels of organizational acumen and formed by a disparate hodge-podge of independents and current or former Libertarian Party, New York Independence Party, Minnesota Independence Party and Constitution Party members /// ambivalent to 4, dislikes 2 and 5, likes 1
4- National Tea Party Federation - a less-grassroots/more centrally controlled umbrella of local groups at varying levels of organizational acumen and formed primarily by non-evangelical Republicans /// ambivalent to 1 and 3, likes 2 and 5
5- Tea Party Nation - a web/social-networking initiative controlled by a collections attorney in Tennessee /// ambivalent to 1, 2, 3, 4

Independents can be Conservative
So can Democrats, for that matter.
