I opened it up. I also lightened up the castles a little bit. I also went ahead and changed the whole Livonian Bonus to Lyalia. I just feel better freeing it from any potential real world connection. The borders between Dunfunf & West Caprinthia, Roll. & Arleus are really small. Might be a bit hard to see for some.
It got accidentally dropped thanks for calling it to my attention. The "total" in the road bonus' is not there anymore (Thessisamess-Theraland +4 'Total'). I don't know if you meant to do this or it just got dropped accidentally in your latest changes.
well, the other guy has never done XML (on this site) before and he's sort of doing it as a favor for me. If you are volunteering and already familiar with the XML then I believe that you would be the preferred optionIf you are still looking for a hand with the XML, I could pitch in.
EDIT: Heck, I just noticed you had a one-line mention of someone else. Well, let me know if that doesn't work out.

I know we have discussed this via PM, but just for the record here, I will be working on the XML with Neato Missile's good wishes. The Bison King wrote:well, the other guy has never done XML (on this site) before and he's sort of doing it as a favor for me. Can do I'll have it pm'd to you by tonight!I can start very soon, but if you have a full list of names for regions and zones (territories and continents, if you will), that would be a great boost out of the blocks.

DoneUpdate the large map with border erasures under text. Hit Theraland on the small map too.
...no, see I think Prussian blue is a beautiful color, and it goes along well with the territories. A more vibrant blue would clash too much, especially since I've been muting the colors slightly.I have a suggestion with the color of the ocean. I like a slightly darker but vibrant blue for the sea. I think it would especially go well on this map. It's almost like a grey-blue right now. I know it's lighter like this but something a little darker and less gray may go better. (gray may ha!)
I put those back in a version or 2 ago, when I re-darkened Skyaticalso I know you made some changes with the map key matching the colors in the map itself. I believe some of those got lost again...
I saturated the colors just a little bit again. I also applied a second sepia filter to the map key. This map is looking great; the only thing that jumps out is that the region colours are so bright. I'd realy suggest muting them a little bit, and seeing if you can get back to pastel shades, or perhaps something slightly more muddy looking (like the colorblind simulation images) I think it's really only the red and green areas that jump out at me...

The slight lack of symmetry gives it charm, it let's you know that it was hand done. The Navajo Indian's would always weave in a small imperfection to their tapestries, to make sure that they did not offend the gods.I still wish you would fix the legend frame. You know, make it more symmetric...
Well you've got to please mods, not gods, so make it perfect! j/kThe Bison King wrote:The slight lack of symmetry gives it charm, it let's you know that it was hand done. well, what would you suggest. remember there isn't a lot of room to work with down there (see, failed mini map idea)the legend is real messy at the bottom where it talks about the road bonuses... like it was just typed in there as an afterthought and it clashes bad with the map where it is obvious so much time and effort went into it
It does, and it kind of does. I can do a draft where that border is a tad bit skinnier.Does Itheria connect to Scaralact? It looks like a river there.
Not sure whats up with that, it's probably just the result of the type being so small. Not something I have much control over, you'll have to talk to adobe. Maybe bumping it up a pixel or two will make it look cleaner, but that's about all I can do.Something is up with the black font on the small map... Its hard to read because I think its too blurry... not sure.
LOL, alright, I'll see if I can make a little more poetic but I don't think the odyssey will fit.And I'll likely receive ridicule and hate for this last suggestion... but the story in the upper left corner... do you think you could make it a poem in the tradition of Homer, Virgil and Dante? The map has an awesome old world feel to it and the parallel with the literature of the ancient and medieval world would be awesome.
Ok here's my first attempt just off the top of my head:And I'll likely receive ridicule and hate for this last suggestion... but the story in the upper left corner... do you think you could make it a poem in the tradition of Homer, Virgil and Dante?
