Tournament Overview
This will be a 1v1 standard 32 player knockout tournament, but if demand is high, I'll consider increasing to a 64 player tournament I have increased it to a 64 player tournament due to high demand. All games will be best of 3.
All games will be played one at a time so freemiums are welcome once they keep a slot reserved for the tournament.
How To Sign Up
You must sign up in this thread, however, since this is a Chatters event you can only qualify by spending time in Live Chat (Social, Callouts or Help) after sign up. To qualify you must chat in live chat for at least 3 sessions during the 3 week period of 24th October 2011-14th November 2011.
A session is counted as a minimum of 5 consecutive minutes of discussion/general chat within site rules in live chat and will only be recognized by the Tournament Organizers. Only one session will be recognized in any one day so you will need to be present during a minimum of 3 days. In addition your session will generally only be counted if we are present.
Other chat moderators may be able to assist us with keeping check on your presence otherwise but also they may not be able to. You will be able to keep track of your official sessions on this page Many thanks especially to Arcee for keeping me updated with session reports. Thanks also to Bruce and clapper011 for regular reports. (see post 2)
Rules
In an effort to keep this flowing there will be a Round limit of 20 rounds which should not make a difference for most games. Invitations will be sent for each game and you have 24 hours to accept your invitation. If you fail to do so in that time one (1) more invitation will be sent. If you fail to accept this invitation you will forfeit the game and your opponent will automatically advance. Note: First invitations will NOT be sent out on a weekend However second invitations may be.

All normal games will be sunny, the decider if necessary will be fog
NOTE: Decider games will only be played if needed as a tie breaker.[/spoiler]

Round 2: Italy
Round 3: Tamriel
Round 4: USA
Round 5: Malta

Once again this is a Chatters event so we expect a presence in Live Chat. Thus, as long as you are active in a game in the tournament you will be required to be in live chat for at least 1 session per week. Session specifications are the same as those for qualifying.
NOTE: any action that results in you being officially warned or banned from live chat for any period of time will result in you either being warned or disqualified from the tournament. In the case of disqualification your opponent will automatically advance instead of you. If both opponents in any game are disqualified their opponents from the previous round will replace them and fight the 3 games in their place.
Prizes
What’s the point of an official tournament without prizes? 24 months in premium prizes will be awarded as follows:
1st Place – 12 months premium
2nd Place – 6 months premium
3rd & 4th places 3 months premium each
A General Contribution medal will be awarded to the competitor who (in the opinion of the Chatters) makes the biggest contribution to live chat during the time of the tournament whether he/she has been eliminated or not. NOTE: This medal and the premium prizes will be awarded by the Chatters Team.
