Whoever has the most troops at the end of round 20.
And if by chance there is a tie, the tie will be broken based on the most regions.

I'm sorry you feel that way, pmchugh. I can't say for certain really why each player has joined, but based on the comments from Conquer Cup I by participants it ranged from it was "entertainment worth 5 bucks" to "wanting a chance to win prizes" to "trying out a new event" on CC.
Maybe in a future issue of the newsletter, they can interview a sampling of Conquer Cup participants and find out their reasons for joining!
They game will automatically begin as soon as there are four players who have advanced and are ready to play that round. Right now there are only three players waiting.

Spiesr is indeed correct. You are always automatically slotted into new games, but you have to wait for others to also be ready and waiting too!
Also, it looks like the last games of Round 1 have closed, so we're trucking along!

I was away for the long weekend, and my sitter played a turn in Game 10554484 for me. Should I report myself in C&A or what should I do in this case?
We understand that mistakes can be made and account sitters can inadvertently take turns for Conquer Cup games. As long as it doesn't not become a habit for multiple Conquer Cup Games or multiple Conquer Cups, no penalties will be suffered (and I don't imagine many people, if any at all, will suffer any penalties). But if we receive reports that it ever does become a habit, further disciplinary action may be taken!

Yea i have been in and out and around and about with work lately and sitters may have sat a turn or 2 in my games... but I don't have a choice unless i miss them which would stink for me
mgert wrote:What are the 3 players waiting to play in round 3 going to do, with no more players to come in?
Those 3 'waiting' are waiting for 1 more player to join them by winning a game in Round 3. Then those 4 will move to the 'Advanced' and they'll be competing against one another in Round 4!
May I just add that I used the consolation prize from the first Conquer Cup to get here. It's been fun so far, looking forward to a competitive final game!
So it looks like 2 of our Finalists took advantage of the Second Chance Round, while the other 2 breezed on through! It is great to see the addition of the Second Chance Round having an impact on the Finals!
Best of luck to all the Finalists, and thanks for playing to all the participants of Conquer Cup II as well!
Congrats to [player]rutty[/player]for pulling out a Round 10 victory to seal the deal and claim the top spot as Conquer Cup II Champion!
Moreover, many congrats to all the Finalists who gave him a tough game, and who fought against the odds to make it into the final deciding game!
Similarly congrats to all the Semi-Finalists for racking up a couple of wins in the tournament as well!
And of course, we must thank all participants for playing and making Conquer Cup II a fun tournament to watch from the sidelines and hopefully fun to play in too!

Congrats to all the above Consolation Prize Winners! And many thanks to all participants of Conquer Cup II.
Congrats. There was a little discussion about bad play making it a matter of going after the player that messes up. Wasn't the case in my two games.
In round 1 I won a hard fight where only one new player played poorly. In round 3, I made the first elimination, ended the turn with plenty of armies. The next morning I was eliminated, but as it turns out the fourth player won in the end. I did my best and was outplayed.
