Yes, it's been explained, but allow me to reiterate: you can go through killer neutrals.Beckytheblondie wrote:Have we talked about what would happen in resetting regions like Baseball, das schloss and arms race? (and to a lesser extent greenland and cyprus)?
Thanks, just walked backwards in the thread and now I see it:Victor Sullivan wrote:Yes, it's been explained, but allow me to reiterate: you can go through killer neutrals.Beckytheblondie wrote:Have we talked about what would happen in resetting regions like Baseball, das schloss and arms race? As long as you've owned the port at the beginning of the turn.Culs De Sac wrote:In City Mogul, AOR's etc.. all the of ports are connected.. Hence its an adj attck..Shouldn't you be able to take them all? And if the answer is yes, then the current setup doesn't work

As long as you don't advance from the one you owned at the start of the turn, then it should work. Taking one port, advancing, then taking another doesn't work, even though you could have taken all of them from the original one. You cannot attack further, period. So 'tapping' is not allowed.Leehar wrote:It's not even that you can advance and tap from that new region, but not take?
Tapping was never allowed in AA. Tapping is still an attack.Leehar wrote:It's not even that you can advance and tap from that new region, but not take?
nicely put sir!AndyDufresne wrote:Think of it like your troops are exhausted after conquering a region and advancing, and cannot move or attack any further.

Exactly. Otherwise your troops could get stuck in a culs de sac!Culs De Sac wrote:yeah i put 2+2 afterwards.. got it.. so i have to own from the initial attack.. okie dokie.. thanks
There are probably some other giant maps people wouldn't want to do trench with either, though Hive may be the worst. What about setting up groups of maps by size within the random map function, so you could select "random small" or "random medium" etc.?Beckytheblondie wrote:With this update, can we have a map selection setting that is called "Random minus Hive".

Hive isn't actually as bad as people think, because there are more regions to actually attack with.ComposerNate wrote:There are probably some other giant maps people wouldn't want to do trench with either, though Hive may be the worst. Agreed - it's maps like feudal epic with corridors that are going to be hell.Leehar wrote:Hive isn't actually as bad as people think, because there are more regions to actually attack with.ComposerNate wrote:There are probably some other giant maps people wouldn't want to do trench with either, though Hive may be the worst. It does. In fact I think it's a great map for this setting.denominator wrote:YES! Thanks Lack - been hoping for this for 3 years!
This is huge for the tournaments and now we can play with fog on!
Hey, I've played HIVE like this before and think it actually plays well.Beckytheblondie wrote:With this update, can we have a map selection setting that is called "Random minus Hive".
On the contrary. You have plenty of time to prepare and develop a strategy to counter a bad drop.Stephen Wayne wrote:I like it kinda. It looks fun but there is one HUGE problem -----This makes a good drop unbeatable. Drop a bonus or most of one and you have won the game outright.
