The groupings for round 2 were decided in the following way:

All players who won 2 or more games in round 1 automatically qualified to take part in 8 player games in round 2.

The following players won their game in 7 rounds or less:

The following 6 players were placed into the bottom group by way of taking the most rounds to win their game:

There was no way to break the tie between the following 6 players, who all took 8 rounds to win their game:
