With the fear that CC will soon become a ghost town, those of us that don't want to see that happen must put forth suggestions to improve or promote the site. Here is a few I put into Suggestion:

always great to see volunteers pitching into the effort... if you bothered to read the "negative" threads, most of them are full of very good ideas on ways that the members of CC think the site can be saved... but hey, don't let a little thing like "facts" get in the way of your negative post disparaging threads that you obviously are not involved with and have obviously not read...-el Jesus negro

Revert back to game settings how they were a year ago when the add-ons worked. People HATE change even if it is an improvement. The game mechanics changes have resulted in major headaches for many players thus discouraging them and leaving a bad taste in their mouth after they paid their hard earned cash to play here. It is insulting to them. They paid for a service based on certain parameters and those parameters keep changing.

When a game has been around long enough, gathered enough people, there will always be the naysayers and whiners.
I sincerely think that no matter WHAT the people in charge do, people would never stop complaining. You simply can't please everyone.

For years people complained that lackattack wasn't doing anything, wasn't implementing changes. Wham has. If that doesn't please people... well it just goes to prove my point doesn't it, people don't know what they want, and will never be happy.
If you tell us your perfect vision of CC, and it is implemented, we'd still have ten vocal yokels in here trashing it and whining. If we pick their vision and do it we'd have ten others in there whining. It is impossible to please everyone.

major command still suffering delayproblems,last one 9 days ago,man how often i went awol on that side.active players 1440
landgrab had 13 players logged in 1and half hour ago....there you get points for weird records;lost 10 armys killing losing none......i had that within days..........lost 20 killing none,had that within few weeks.i dont think thats crazy,it must happen every now and then.

This is a bit off-topic, but y'all seem to only consider internal factors. In my opinion, the Great Decline is mostly explained by external factors--e.g. changes in online consumer demand. Most people don't want to play games which are so mentally tasking. And furthermore they want something prettier and more interactive. I agree with your point about CC users being constantly unimpressed, but it overlooks the problem of the demand-side. There's hardly anything CC can do--short of drastically changing the website, which is an extremely risky project.
