So, I just noticed that my friends list is beginning to resemble an elephant graveyard - a veritable who used to be who of Conquer Club.

For example, I've got Chariot of Fire, Ace Rimmer, Gold Knight, Jpeter15, and xxtig12683xx; people I don't anticipate reactivating on Conquer Club for quite some time, but instead of delete them, they just sit there.

Which inactive members do you keep on your friends list that gives you a pang of a nostalgia for the good ole days?

I usually clean my friends list regularly, so there's not a lot of corpses there.

Oldrisky44 was one of the exceptions. My favourite among my old SoC instructors. I kept him on for a long time after he left. I really miss his sense of humour. Hard to believe he's been gone for four years.

WorldCup4James is one of the few that I intentionally keep on my list, just in case he ever comes back. One of the most creative Tournament Organisers on the site, ever. I really miss that guy.

DJenre was one I kept on the list for a very long time, for much the same reason, but he's not there any more.

Samuelc812, godfather of the Entertainment Team. I wasn't really keeping him on intentionally, I only noticed now that he's still on my list. Still, if you're going to keep corpses, that's one that deserves to be kept.

BigBallinStalin, OT sophist-extraordinaire, rounds out my sentimentalia list.

JamesKer1 and blakebowling are still on my list, but it's debatable if they can be called corpses. Their bodies are still warm enough that a bit of CPR might bring them back.

I've got everyone who has been in TOFU while I have on my friends list. So at least 10-15 former members. Also all my friends from my last clan BoFM as well. I have not taken away anyone from my pre-clan days either, and a few of them have left the site.

About 75 people total on my friends list, I'm sure that's small compared to some people If this thread takes off I'll take the time to sort out the retired members.

PS: I haven't given up hope that CoF will be back one day He popped in and said hello once or twice.

MarVal the founder of the VDLL and the player who single-handedly helped the Dutch section to the next level. He logs in maybe once every two years now and I doubt he'll come back again, but there's reason enough to keep him on my list. Other members who left also left my list, just for the sake of clarity.

Would be awesome to see these players return in a more active roll. If anyone knows any info on their well-being it would be nice to hear about them and if things are well. I still see some of them now and then but it's very few and far between.

you should pay attention... demon is on here quite often, i'm in a das schloss with him... ronc is always around, he is taking a break due to a new baby. Mr. C has his own website that is taking up most of his time and King Herpes is truly MIA... but, he was kind of pushed out by the mods, wasn't he? *cough*... anyway, half of your list is/was active (again, ron just had a baby and stepped away for diaper DOODIE)... ok, that is all... i'll get into my vanishing list later...-Bj

ljex (I like to call him ijaeax) - Had great convo's with him, also enjoyed watching him play those crazy 8 man Speeders on Classic.

I think pascalleke turns up occasionally. I played against him in a tournament not too long ago, but if memory serves he ended up deadbeating or missing a lot of turns.

Personally, the only people I add to my friends list are clan members, because it's useful. A couple of them have left CC, like callmenorcal and subprime.
