Greetings,
One of the ideas to celebrate 10 years of clans has been to make an official "Hall of Fame".
No, this isn't a redux of betiko's thread that has been an excellent source of info (Hall of Records?), but a new
player centric effort that we are considering.

In order to do this, I'm looking to find maybe 6-12 players to form a hall of fame committee, especially guys who were
here before 2010 ish and know some of the older players and history.

Exact catorogies, and exactly how this will work is still fluid, but the hope is by fall we can release an official
CC Clan Hall of Fame list and then hold some votes each year for each catagory.

Is this for retired players only, or could a Josko, Dako, or Don qualify?

Because just the difference between sports & CC, my thought has been it'll be retired or active, and hold different classes / years to qualify.

Note: there is no prize for assisting in this effort but there will be a medal associated with being on the committee upon completion.

I haven't been in the clan seen for as long as many of you, but love him or hate him, it would be hard for me to imagine a clan hall of fame without Josko in it...he could just abstain from voting on that and let the other members vote him in.

There will be specific award catagories, for specific time periods. Anyone will be able to nominate any name within the group, but yes voting will likely get restricted for conflict of interests.

is jpcloet still around playing would be good to have him on the committee. he was a top head of clans.

Is [player]bruceswar[/player] still active? He'd have a lot of knowledge of the old guard.

Yeah, he was someone I immediately thought of for the project. Whether or not its osmething he's willing to take on, idk.
This is the sort of thing I hope clanmates or old players kinda PM each other about and get a group together to help bring it full circle or bring to attention to the right guys who are still around, as I'm not aware of whose still around or knew how much when etc.

I could see if I can get in touch with Chariot of Fire if you don't think it would cause too many fireworks with josko already on the committee...

If he's interested, I'm willing to manage it. I don't think it would be an issue, everyone can share their opinion and the committee can make a decision. Each person is a single individual, maybe some debate happens etc about certain things but i can't see it getting to crazy for a little project like this.

If CoF isn't available Dako has been around since the start of TOFU so he'd be another good choice.

Some of the guys in LoW can likely help; chard or Condor? They've been around a long time. Probably some of the old IA guys too, and ID.

I see lots of tweaks and I'm happy to see so many war entries in the database. (So glad excel finally got replaced).

I don't play at all, but the clan newsletter ended up in my Facebook feed, so I logged in to see what's been going on. The clan area was like my first baby.

I think Uckuki from FOED would be a good addition since he has been around since the very beginning and seems to have played with everyone. I nominate him.

Posting here is ok rather than a PM, but suggesting or nominating doesn't help as the person needs to volunteer to do the task. So if you follow it up by pm them and pointing them here to sign up etc
