I am interested in working out how the formula works and have a couple of questions....
1) The decay (for time over 2 yrs). Is it based on daily time calculations (meaning for every day since a war was held does its decay value change) or is it more simplistic (for example 6 monthly where there are only 4 decay weights 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. How does it work?
2) I understand the points for a war are the opponents rank + or - between 200-600 pnts. How is the 200-600 awarded?? I assume 50.1% win gives you the +200...but how from there do you get from 200 to 201....202 ...through to 600? (i get that the points for each war then form part of formula which weights a war - and the said points - based on game number and time decay to arrive at a teams ranking points - im only after info on the single issue of that 200-600 pnts).
Im trying to build a spreadsheet that will approximate what will happen to our (LOW's) ranking depending on war results. It might help us understand who would be good to challenge and how important a particular winning margin or opponent etc might be. We can also then also get a feel for the decay factor of historical results and how they are impacting our score (good or bad 'old' results rolling off).

Yes this.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. That will allow my spreadsheet to get reasonably close to the real thing (which is all im after i dont need it to be exact...not trying to replace what you guys do so amazingly well!)
This covers 1-1-2012 to 1-1-2017 (I believe) so doesn’t have new data incorporated.
It’s certainly possible.
There is a post way back in this thread that starts with 2018 data. Looking at that, it supports that the current score for Fallen is indeed the highest ever. Post link below.. it has April 2018 to current

It’s certainly possible.
Note that the D400 scores are not EXACT matches to the old F400. The results are extremally close in results, but they are not the same.
But I can go back and check any date to compare.
Is there something that says what those dates are?

Yeah I know they aren’t exact matches, I’m sure I have documentation somewhere. But not easily accessible anymore, I think. Maybe I’ll bum around when I’m feeling better and check I’ve got an idea of where it might be

Found a short cut:
TOP: 1489 Dec 1, 2017
S&M: 1468 Mar 1, 2018
TOFU: 1460 May 1, 2017
Not 100% sure on its accuracy but it’s probably going to be accurate, it’s included in a side project I never finished.

May rankings saw S&M relegated from #1 spot and all time #1 months now look like this (in parenthesis is top score while being #1 ranked):
