To be honest I've a great deal of admiration and time for Craig, and have played him numerous times in some great games. Unfortunately, the antics over the last couple of seasons have really tarnished this league and my enjoyment of it, to such an extent that I'm not really that bothered anymore, which surprises me, because its such a fantastic league.

I don't care about who the initial blame is aimed at, or the reasons for it coming to an end. I also don't understand why the actions of one person can ruin everything for every player.

I've seem numerous leagues in the past (not all on this site) meet their demise and I also know that another one will rise from the ashes somewhere, again not necessarily on this site.

I'd much rather just continue playing on here, but unless Craig chooses to continue, or pass the reins on to another, then thats not going to happen.

I've have stated before, that whatever happens, the running of ANY league, should never enable the decisions and actions of just one person to decide whether it continues or not, irrespective of how much time and effort they have put in (sorry Craig).

Much better to pass it over, as a founding father so to speak, and let the legacy live on, otherwise the league will fade into history and be forgotten within a few months. Just like Borat, Case's Ladder, Gamespy, etc.

Lets hope this is resolved amicably so we can all just get on and beat the shit out of each other.

I hope Craig saddle's up again / beefs up. TG apologised in public and by now Craig should know this was a FUBAR f*ck up of getting it wrong on his side. But A keg/Craig (troubled) could still be involved in a chaotic, noisy, and possibly boisterous celebration or event stopping action where many people are enjoying drinks and the atmosphere is lively, according to the Cambridge Dictionary, but he pauses that party for selfish reasons... I hope it's on good Scottish whisky at least. And a troubled unclear Craig/Keg sees the fun soon in it all instead of what he is doing now like clockwork these last half year and weeks.. League Paused - unpaused - paused again. Unpaused. Paused.. and why? Nobody realy knows but.. it's Paused again..

And yes as a founding father so to speak, you do not want to see your baby down the drain...Let the legacy live on if you have inner ghosts to fight, otherwise the league will fade into history and be forgotten within a few months. By being banned from forum/PM's he is unable to provide commentary/updates etc. on the CCSL. I believe that is a big deal to him.

Ok. But why does he has to hold 300 league players hostage? As leverage? That is why i left CCSL last "pause". If you provide such a good tourney WITH YOUR TEAM (anila8, Ewebasher and ESQuire who are just AWESOME GREAT AND DOING ALL THE REAL WORK THESE DAYS) for so many players you do it for the players and not for personal motives. "Not to be your own king in your "off you pop! kingdom" attention seeking realm of Craigconica.

Yeah, sorry. I respect Craig for his efforts he did in the past but the longer it's PAUSED AGAIN FOR STUPID PERSONAL MOTIVES the more i feel about it this way.

"CON CON COUCOU CRAIGCONICA" and 'the real wee-man" (instead of the "not the real runeldo") is first thing that comes to my mind these days when i see the name "Craig". It used to be something else in the past.. NOW ITS "That hijack. Some 60 year old grown adult doing a version of I'm leaving and I'm taking my ball with me".

But it has now been proved that a mod did split a forum post, which is what upset him and caused the melt down. Yes, it was a joke but due to lack of information he was not to know that.

It seems to me that an appeal should be considered by the appropriate mods, based on this new information, and either the ban upheld or reduced depending on the outcome of that appeal.

Either way Craig himself must be aware that he can't keep doing this. As the saying goes last chance corral.

If Craig still kicks off and ends the Super League then at least he has been met half way and CC can say they did all they could.

If Craig himself finally gets it that he can't keep doing this "clockwork pause-unpause-pause-unpause.... (while clearly "not giving one iota" for the players he holds hostage everytime)..." then yes ofcourse. By all means. Lift the ban probationary. Craig deserves that. And i think that would be the best decision for all of CC. Let him lash out at me or anybody else he wants too (like poor old x-roads) making fun comments at me as much he wants too as long if he continues the league.. Also if managing the league "pm updates" (as the real work behind the scenes is done by the team) is too much heat too handle for him then he should pass the torch to his team Anila8, Ewebasher and ESQUIRE. But hijacking it and acting like a toddler "I'm leaving and I'm taking my ball with me"..that is just child's play "go bonkers" (​completely crazy and silly).

I'm sorry, but quick correction here. A mod split his forum post because he was repeatedly posting offtopic and breaking rules of the site, and the options were to a) make it a new topic or b) ban him because he made multiple offtopic posts. The thread title may have been a joke, but he earned a ban before he had a meltdown about a forum post topic.

Craig has repeatedly made offensive posts flaming players he doesn't like and moderators, to pretend like he hasn't earned a lifetime forum ban would be ignorant. This isn't even counting the offensive PM's he's sent to players he doesn't like. It seems like the only reason he's being softplayed is because of Super League, and that's a mistake. You continously let children break the rules and not fact the consequences, they truly believe they're above the rules and can do whatever they want.

Yes you are right. I will not comment again. In case Craig doesn't get the joke. After all, Craig likes to make fun of other people A LOT but he sure can't stand it when it's the other way around and to receive any.

Important detail omitted: Caused the most recent meltdown. Yes. But what about the one before, and the one before that, and the one before that?

Craig has been having his tantrums at least once every two or three months for at least two or three years. Do we need to bend over and kiss his ass every single time he has one?

Remember that the situation began when Craig was deliberately derailing a thread. A mod has several options in that situation, and TeeGee is good at often trying to defuse these situations with humour, as he did. A more old-fashioned mod might simply have hit Craig with a ban for thread derailing. Ask yourself: if someone had simply come along and handed him a forum ban for derailing the thread, would Craig's tantrum have been milder, or more severe?

It seems you want SL to continue and don't much care what has to happen to that end. As such, you seem prepared to resort to false equivalency to justify that.

There are dozens of comments here illustrating that Craig has been an asshole for a while and yet you cling to the fact that a mod gave a humorous title to a thread that he split (and had very good reason to split it) when Craig was engaging in one of his many flames. Somehow you've convinced yourself that is bad enough to be equal to Craig's antics. That was enough for Craig to post his insane tome about persecution and the mods breaking the law in doing so.

It was very upstanding of TG to apologize for that very minor thing, but neither he, nor any of the other mods, nor anyone else who has had to endure his shit owe Craig an apology.

You're trying to position yourself as the voice of reason here, but in reality, you're wilfully ignoring all of Craig's missteps (or at least recklessly downplaying them) and intentionally taking a very minor thing and trying to blow it up enough to justify Craig's actions.

I brought this up earlier in the thread. You're not actually taking the middle here, you're just trying to sound like you're taking the middle. You're paying lipservice to assigning some blame to Craig, but are really just making excuses for him.
