Lies... sully is by far the best - he is just too humble
That's why he was transfered to the US to teach at Hasbro's Risk Institute, in their department of dice mechanics...

Sully is very humble and much better than he gives himself credit for

This sucks. When I first started playing I had no interest in points. I just wanted to win games and beat players of higher rank. It wasn't until recently that I've really become interested in winning points.
I want to get to 3000 in under 200 games, but I've wasted a ton of my games playing snide 2 or 3 player, or dubs, because people asked me to play them. If I'd contemplated reaching this landmark sooner I would have restricted myself to solely playing 6 player games.
I'm also in a monthly tournament that bigbullyweedave started and it's 2 player games. I won the champ title for the first month, but if I have any intention of reaching the 3000 point landmark I can't be wasting 9 games playing 1v1's, so I'll have to drop out of that tournament.
Added on to all that is the fact I hardly ever get into games with other players of high rank. Usually the games I'm involved in there are just one or two decently ranked players and a bunch of low ranked players.

What you're saying is you haven't been playing the scoreboard. That's good. I think it's better that people just play whatever game types they want.
Anyway if you think about it... who's a better player, one who put all their effort into reaching the landmark, and just made it, or a player who didn't try to and made it in 301 games?
No scoring system is perfect, in that no scoring system can measure skill exactly. You shouldn't worry about it. I mean I'm not ranked no.1 so there's obviously a few discrepancies here and there.
Play the games that are fun.

I don't mean to be rude, but why do you care about making it onto this list? It's not an official scoreboard, just an interesting collection of players who have picked up points quickly.
If you care about points, you can win games and make it to the top of the real scoreboard True, 1v1 and games against low rankers is not an efficient way of going about this, but you are free to choose what games you play. There are always plenty of captains games going on if you want to test yourself against good players.

2007-05-20 04:02:54 - gibbom gains 2252 points
