Few things work well as democracy. This site is no different. There is one Owner, who is free to run this site as he wishes. That's the best way.

You forget just how few people surf the forums anyway. Is it 5%? So it wouldn't be representative anyway. Perhaps there could be votes of no confidence but I couldn't see it going any further than that.

i did see a luns for president signature, and it did make me think that perhaps there could be a players president, that could represent the players and talk to the management, much like a school president will talk to the school staff.

But to be honest, there isnt much of a need for it. Players can voice their opinion at will within the confines of the forum rules, and therefore a president isnt really needed. Also, the management tries to accomidate us very well under the current system, so a president, while perhaps fun to elect, isnt absolutely necessary.

It certainly would be a lot of work. Instead of people asking for things from the mods, the president would get pm'ed constantly. Hed then have to pm serious concerns to management.

Having a president for fun is probably Ok, but expecting the poor guy to actually do anything, might be unfair. We are all advocates for players. Some positive, some negative, some a nice combination of both.

So by all means go forward with the election, but I think the main goal should be for fun.
