Ouch...that'll be ugly. Then again, I teach and my first class is at 7am, so...I'm a bit closer. <smile>

More or less been there the last month. I am able to force myself to sleep, but not intil 3-4 am. And when I get up, I'm wide awake. Happened about the time I got sick, talked to the doctor, said it could be because of the mono I got, and persribed me two different sleeping pills (at different times) with them wotking only a couple times out of 8-12 times each. It really quite sucks.

My Doc prescribed me jellies(Temazepam) for a while because I had chronic insomnia. For some people I think its a case of not getting enough exercise and tiring yourself out, or sometimes staying up beyond when you normally sleep, and messing up the routine you had. I believe those two are the most common reasons people get insomnia.

I seldom have trouble sleeping nowadays, but when I was very short on money and long on bills, I would often find myself in a cold sweat in the small hours. Why you are most likely to worry obsessively just when there's absolutely nothing you can do about it is one of life's great mysteries.
Come to think about it, that question keeps me awake sometimes.

Been there. Still sorta there. Just watch late night Comedy Central. It'll put you to sleep faster than death.

You are your greatest enemy.
Only you can allow yourself to feel depressed, or feel bad.
What is it? The Western world labels that enemy as "Ego," and the east generally labels that as the demons within your self. There's plenty of ways of tackling yourself to achieve a better view on things and thus improve your health.
Paying attention to your every thought, feeling, emotion. You see something that may remind you of something bad, then you feel a little sad. All you need to do is pay attention to that sudden yet subtle change in attitude. Be like a guard at the palace gates of your mind. He just merely announces what's coming. You don't really need to tackle it and spear it to death, but just notice it.
Notice how your mind reacts to certain things. This is a beginning step in regaining more control of your mental disposition. With more self-control, you'll be stronger, and outside influences will have a lesser effect on your mental attitude. Calmness of mind brings clarity of thought, and most importantly, good sleep.

The actions of women tend to play a role in contributing too.
