I have several responses in mind.
1) It's good sportmanship to wish your opponent good luck. It happens in sports, too. 2) A bridge too far, as posting topics in GD is concerned. 3) You are getting close to being foe'd with these topics.

Cuz peeps get bent when we tell em to get bent, fuch off, eat shit...
Some just find stuff like that offensive.
So. gl 2 u.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

That is so accurate! Especially the second part... Very often when I say "gg," the other player(s) will tell me that it wasn't; they had shit dice. Not really a big deal for me, but I think they miss the point of what "gg" has evolved into in CC... simply a way of saying, "this game is over, and I am happy to have won. Later..."
Of course, there are those few games that are actually very good games, and both sides agree on it

That's why I DON'T say "good luck"...I'd be lying. What I DO say is "Have fun", which I sincerely wish on the opponent.
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
Good question. I've thought about the same thing. And, point in fact, I don't tend to say "good luck" very often. Although I do greet my opponents with some type of greeting. Habit. Habit is one answer to your query. But I think there is another reason. I think, the vast majority of us, no matter that we want to see our rank rise and our position excel to page one of the leader board, or at the very least, show ourselves worthy combatants, we are social creatures. And we are looking for SOME sort of connection. Or... maybe that's just me.

After reading this again, I can say that I really don't want my opponent(s) to be unlucky. A fair fight with somewhat equal luck is decided by strategy, and thus more enjoyable for me.

Because it won't be worthy to win because you opponent had bad luck....I preffer that my opponent has 100% luck (2vs99999 and he wins ) and win like than bl so that's way i say gl

You are, in all honestly, too much of a deep thinker for my liking/comprehension.
