For starters, I'm issuing a "win premium" challenge here cause I know nobody's gonna win it.
Pretty simple: Pick two teams from either the AP or coaches poll(below) and guess their combined ranking total at the end of the BCS. If the number you pick matches the combined ranking total in the AP or Coaches Poll of the two teams you picked, you win.
Example: #11 Oregon and #24 Oregon State(current combined total - 35). I'm gonna say they finish with a combined total of 22.
Rules: 1. Only one team from the top ten can be used per guess. 2. Both teams must be in the top 25 of either the AP or Coaches Poll at the end of the BCS. 3. Final totals must come from a single poll(either AP or Coaches). 4. Boise State sucks. 5. Change your guess as many times as you want as long as your last edit is on Friday Sept 10th, 2010. 6. In the event that there is more than one correct guesser, the participant that uses the worser rank teams to begin with will get the premium. 7. In the event HapSmo19's guess is right, HapSmo19 doesn't have to buy you nuttin'. 8. Good luck.
Current polls:
AP Poll 1 Alabama 2 Ohio State 3 Boise State 4 Florida 5 Texas 6 TCU 7 Oklahoma 8 Nebraska 9 Iowa 10 Virginia Tech 11 Oregon 12 Wisconsin 13 Miami (Fla.) 14 Southern California 15 Pittsburgh 16 Georgia Tech 17 Arkansas 18 North Carolina 19 Penn State 20 Florida State 21 LSU 22 Auburn 23 Georgia 24 Oregon State 25 West Virginia
Coches Poll 1 Alabama 2 Ohio State 3 Florida 4 Texas 5 Boise State 6 Virginia Tech 7 TCU 8 Oklahoma 9 Nebraska 10 Iowa 11 Oregon 12 Wisconsin 13 Miami (Fla.) 14 Penn State 15 Pittsburgh 16 LSU 17 Georgia Tech 18 North Carolina 19 Arkansas 20 Florida State 21 Georgia 22 Oregon State 23 Auburn 24 West Virginia 24 Utah
I'm gonna guess: #11 Oregon and #24 Oregon State finish with a combined total of 22.
Anyway, did anybody see the nail-biter between Oregon and the mighty New Mexico Lobos yesterday?
Update:

Woodruff will go with TCU and Oregon for a total of 8.
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
After a typically Berkleyish opener against Davis it's hard for ol', ol' Saxi to get too excited about the season until next weekend so this may change, but, for now I'm doing the predicting of:
an overrated Boise State + a deflated SC = 25

I agree with your logic regarding Oregon, which is why I selected them and TCU together. TCU's remaining schedule compared to Alabama's is...well, let's just say they're much more likely to survive it.

Slightly off topic, but a true freshman linebacker for Wyoming was killed in a car accident today, and there were a few other players in the car, all sustaining injuries to the point where one may have lost an arm.
All we have to do is be ranked #2 on January first...that gets us into the game and then we run the ball right down their throat like we did to Miami!
PS:
Rich Rod sucks and after you fire him you will spend two years detangling from the whimpy spread offense to a real power football scheme, which you need to compete in the Big Ten.

I'm looking pretty strong. I figure Oregon is good for one loss at some point, and TCU won't lose the rest of the season.

I think about the only team that will actually give them a challenge will be Utah, who just smoked my Pokes for probably the last time. Not sure if I should be happy or sad about that.
But the SEC is a joke. They complain how no one has to go through a tough schedule? Bullshit. Wyoming has played Texas (top 5 at the time), BSU, TCU, Air Force, and Utah. And with Texas' win over Nebraska (sorry Woodruff), Texas should pop back up in the top 25.

Eh, Nebraska deserved to lose that game. WRs need to learn how to catch the damn ball when they're wide open.

I'm late to the party for this game. But I hope we have a Boise State vs. TCU championship. That would serve the BCS right. But it looks like Oklahoma is poised to run the table and so poor TCU will be left out again.
