I’m not as in the know as I used to be, but doesn’t take much to look at the underlying numbers and see it’s not good.shoop76 wrote:Coming from a guy in the know, this is scary.IcePack wrote:Just a matter of how long, not a question of will it.

I'm actually surprised its still around with membership where its at and an owner who hasn't made a post in over 2 years.IcePack wrote:I’m not as in the know as I used to be, but doesn’t take much to look at the underlying numbers and see it’s not good.shoop76 wrote:Coming from a guy in the know, this is scary.IcePack wrote:Just a matter of how long, not a question of will it.

Membership went down 20% in the last 12 months, it won’t last many more years w more of the same. (6,500 to 5,200) with every summer losing ~1,000 / year. That’s not just who go away for summer and come back, that’s the overall net loss each year. Once you hit a certain point it fails to sustain and based on my experience w other sites, you hit a point where it falls apart from there v quickly.shoop76 wrote:I'm actually surprised its still around with membership where its at and an owner who hasn't made a post in over 2 years.IcePack wrote:I’m not as in the know as I used to be, but doesn’t take much to look at the underlying numbers and see it’s not good.shoop76 wrote:Coming from a guy in the know, this is scary.IcePack wrote:Just a matter of how long, not a question of will it.

Dude, this edge-lord thing with Heath Ledger's joker needs to stop. It's tough to take you seriously when you're constantly referencing a batman film from a decade ago.IcePack wrote:Membership went down 20% in the last 12 months, it won’t last many more years w more of the same. This is a good question. I suppose a lot of the very active players here have won a lot of credits. I haven't paid for premium since 2013 and have gifted quite a few premium memberships from my credits over that time. Maybe that is why the dice gods hate me so much.- I don’t know how many were gifted by others or earned credits via competitions and won free credits / premiums from contests etc (IE non paid premiums)

If it is his baby, why doesnt he try to fix things?TeeGee wrote:xroads wrote:So $60,000 max revenue right now if he is lucky.
I guess we are lucky that wham does not rely on CC for income then.
CC is his baby, It is a long way from being euthanized while we still have a group of hardcore players and some blow ins, some who stay for a while and others who come and go.
Or, you know - talk to it. Supposed to be good for baby's development.xroads wrote:If it is his baby, why doesnt he try to fix things?TeeGee wrote:xroads wrote:So $60,000 max revenue right now if he is lucky.

Thanks...did you go through screen by screen to assemble that or is there a way to sort it? I ask because its as important to know the number of premium members as it is to know the number of overall members, IMO.IcePack wrote:1,824 of the current 5,180.rockfist wrote:Is there a way we could sort for the number of premium players?
Caveats:
- I don’t know the yearly subscription rate vs just have a month of premium
- I don’t know how many have subscriptions that are inactive that are still paying even though they aren’t on the active list
- I don’t know how many others buy speed packs and stars and non premium related content
- I don’t know how many were gifted by others or earned credits via competitions and won free credits / premiums from contests etc (IE non paid premiums)
Note: CC also gives away premium to mods & community and a ton of contests/tournaments give away credits as well. Not factored in here
