Sound Notification in speed games

It could be so much more comfortable when I don't want to enslave myself to a speed game...

I believe that one of the notifier's does this already. I don't remember exactly which one though....

Firefox plugin does it.
But it's hard to use it for those who don't use firefox :lol:

Sits in your Windows system tray and tells you when it's your turn

I searched my computer for sound files, found one I liked and told this program to use it when it's my turn. Wonderful program.

And anyway, about the topic. Agreed if it wouldn't be a compulsory thingy because I wouldn't want to use it. And I think it has a very low priority.

Not sure why there's voting on this ...

Good UI design and usability guidance would say that this is either a user preference set for all games or per game.

A checkbox in the game "[] Sound alarm when it's my turn" would solve it for everyone.

What about adding an alarm sound to let you know when it is your turn? so if you are doing something, you can listen for the "Ding" and know it is your turn to go..... help with speed games.

go to the General Discussion thread.....click on "Plug ins/Add ons" and install BoB.......I have a bugle that not only calls me for turns, but makes my dog wag her tail when she hears it..... :lol:

Concise description:

Add a sound Notification for when you are able to take your turn during a speed game

Specifics:

Sometimes when people play speed games(especially those with more than a couple people) they tend to wander away from the game and often come back near the end of there turn if at all during there turn, often prolonging games or even outright deadbeating. This could be turned off in the game settings menu and the sound could also be changed in the same place

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

This will make speed games more reliable and quicker for those who can't focus on one thing for hours and could potentially stop people from deadbeating

I would love to hear some sounds coming out of the game. This would be really helpful when you are playing multiple games at once and a sound is made letting you know it is your turn in another game. This would make it so that people do not have to wait on you and that you do not miss turns.
