Champion of Iceland
This is my first tourney ever that I'll be( hopefully not the last) hosting and I'm bound to make some misstakes but I'm going to try and host it perfectly.
It's all about one of my favourite maps and it's going to be big and last serveral weeks/months/ so if you're not comitted to stay a while on cc then don't join. Now how can you be the king of the legendary iceland?
Quite simple, play solid on different settings and advance to the next round.
How this is going to work is this. It will all be groups of 6 and groups will be assigned randomly! (can someone please help me with this or give me a link where I can do this, thx )
Round 1:
144 players left
24 groups of 6 players will play 6 games!
All games will be sequential , standard and sunny. These 6 games will feature 3 flat rate games and three escalating games , and for each game the fortification system will change. So you will play unlimited, chained and adjacent with both flat rate and escalating. I do not let no card games in because they would just take too much time and I think what I offer will give us the champion of iceland.
The top-3 players from each group will advance to the next round.
You advance to the next round by collecting points.
Freemiums are not allowed cause we will start all 6 games at the same time so you need at least 6 spots.
Points will be awarded like this:
1st: 10 points
2nd: 7 points
3rd: 5 points
4th: 3 points
5th: 2 points
6th: 0 points
If a tie occurs, we will not resort to two player games but an extra standard game of 6 players will be created with random settings (no freestyle or no card games )
Round 2
72 players left
12 groups of 6 players.
This round is exactly the same as round 2. The top-3 players of each round will advance to the next round.
Round 3
36 players left.
6 groups of 6 players.
I don't want to be boring but again it's the same thing, each group plays 6 games and the top-3 will advance to the next round.
Round 4
18 players left.
3 groups of 6 players
Now the elite players will be shown and to make things worse it will be more difficult to advance to the Final Round.
Only the top-2 players in each group will advance so you have to play even better and more consistent.
Final round
6 players left.
1 group of 6 players will play each 12! games to finally crown the champion of iceland. Note that all 6 players who reached the final round have proven that they are the very best on this map but there has to be one winner.
Award
No premium membership can be earned in this tournament , it's all about honour and ofcourse the title of champion of iceland
