That will avoid clutter whilst retaining this nice feature.
(you could also make your monster wink in the opposite corner...)

Say that's not really a bad idea, but it wouldn't require a change of map on refresh, which would require some special coding, I think. It could be done by using the animated GIF feature, like ConquerMan, n'est-ce pas? A slow fade from one globe to the other would give the new flagship map a little pizzazz.Bruceswar wrote:jiminski wrote:why not have a single globe as the Legend in the left-hand corner, which alternates between Eastern and Western bonus' when the map refreshes.

While that would be a nice touch I just do not think it is going to happen on CC.
Could`nt agree more. If you had a poll on which map was prefered of the 2, Im sure shapes would win hands down.mpjh wrote:Still don't understand why you don't drop classic art - it has less players than shapes when compared over the same time period since art was created.

Or best, they could spin. That would be easy by using a GIF image. And I like the idea of having the signature wink.ender516 wrote:Say that's not really a bad idea, but it wouldn't require a change of map on refresh, which would require some special coding, I think. The gameplay cannot be changed. Those cities are needed in Northeast Asia.Robinette wrote: so looking at this map, the 2 things that bug me the most is seeing some nothing cities in North East Asia... while at the same time we are missing Seoul (and Shanghai). So I've been racking my brain trying to find a way...
and now... i think, just maybe, it could happen...
If the connection to Anchorage goes direct to Seoul, then Tokyo and Beijing could be "directly connected" to Seoul...
Directly connected, as in no lines...
And there would be only 1 line coming off Tokyo (to Hong Kong),
and only 1 line coming off Seoul (heading to Shanghai perhaps)
and Beijing would have just 2 lines, one to Shanghai, the other to Novosibirsk
EDIT:
Those connections sounded complicated...
Here it is said another way:
Magadan ----Becomes----> Seoul
Tokyo ----Remains----> Tokyo
Yakutsk ----Becomes----> Beijing
Beijing ----Becomes----> Shanghai
The key to this working is to have those 3 cities touching...
Now i know this has been avoided elsewhere on the map, but it seems very appropriate for these 3 mega cities that are geographically close, to be close on this map as well... perhaps they will have tiny lines, or perhaps they will actually touch... if need be, a tiny explanation could now fit in the vast emptiness of world known as north east asia.

I'm not suggesting to change the gameplay...Bruceswar wrote:The gameplay cannot be changed. Oh, that would be terrific. Is it feasible? What's the best quality you can get out of a GIF?00iCon wrote:
Obvoiusly unfinished, but I'm not making the map. If I had spare time I would've done it with the latitude and longitude lines in.
Yes, Canada is where America finds its brains.RedBaron0 wrote:HA, Canada is America's hat.
